You Can Lose Weight While You Sleep

Lose weight while you sleep? Surely that is nonsense? Well, actually it isn’t. Your mind is a powerful weapon in your armory when it comes to promoting good health and that includes weight loss. So how does this work? I’ll tell you…

The first thing you need to be aware of is the fact that your mind is in total control of what your body is doing. Always, and that’s a fact. Whether it’s a conscious process or an unconscious process, your mind is the boss and your body is its slave, to be ordered around as it sees fit.

There is Only One Person Who Made You Fat!

Now, when your body has been allowed to become overweight and unhealthy, it is because your mind has allowed it to happen. Only you can make the decision to sit on your lazy backside all day watching television, eating pizza and other garbage while your body soaks it all up and converts it into fat.

Only you can make the decision to drink fizzy soda drinks laden with sugar or artificial sweeteners which are even more harmful. Only you can make the decision to remain ignorant of what ingredients are in the food that you eat.

Those decisions come from your conscious mind.

…But You Can Change It!

Every decision you make consciously, you can change in an instant. If you want to. That means you can decide not to buy pizza or burgers or hot dogs of cakes or biscuits or candy bars etc.

It means that you can decide not to drink sodas, It means you can decide to switch off the TV and haul your lazy ass off the sofa and get your body out into the fresh air and do something that resembles exercise.

These things you can do consciously. And that means you are in total control over what your body gets fed and whether it gets to do some exercise or not. No excuses!

Working With Your Mind

On an unconscious level, you have no direct control over what your mind is doing, but that doesn’t mean you have no overall control. You do, actually. You can indirectly suggest that your unconscious mind does some work on your behalf to reduce the amount of fat stored up in the cells of your body.

I’m not saying it’s easy, I’m saying it’s possible.

With some training, you can learn to use auto-suggestion to get your unconscious mind working in harmony with your conscious mind. You can literally get that part of your mind to help you to lose weight and improve your overall fitness levels.

The basic method is to simply learn some short, easily memorable phrases and repeat them to your self every night before you go to sleep. As you do this, it is also important that you fix as vivid as possible image in your mind of the slim, fit and healthy version of you that you want to be.

The last piece of the puzzle is to then imagine yourself actually inside that slim body, walking around and actually feeling how it feels to be that way. It’s the feeling part of the process that really amps up the power of autosuggestion (the repeating of positive phrases to yourself).

I’ll explain how to do that in more detail in future posts. Then you really can lose weight while you sleep.

How It Is Possible to Lose Weight Easily

You all know that the most effective way to lose weight easily is to do it gradually and naturally, as I may have mentioned in previous posts here. Well, it may come as no surprise that I’ll keep hammering on at that idea all the way through this, because I firmly believe that it works.

Anyone who wants to put their mind to it can figure out how to reduce their weight easily. You will benefit mainly by understanding the whole weight loss process in greater detail. If you need some motivation to get fit, just imagine how much more attractive you’ll be when you are.

With a world growing towards convenience in all things, its no wonder that people are looking at the possibilities of how easy can it be to attain a slimmer, fitter body. Of course, there is a massive industry behind this very dream, ready to sell anything from pills, potions and snake oil to anyone who believes it will make them slim and beautiful while they sit on the sofa watching TV all day long.

The reality, of course is that these companies are selling an empty dream to people who they see as easy targets. But that doesn’t mean it has to be hard to lose weight. In fact it can be a lot easier than you think but you do have to put some effort into it. Not too much, just enough and you’ll see results. Here’s how.

Essential Dieting Tips

By far the most popular method of losing weight is through a strict, calorie controlled diet. That diet will vary from company to company and also from person to person, because everyone is different and one simple diet that will work really well for one person may not work so well for another.

But if you want to eat well and stay healthy, the best way to do it is to eat a balanced diet with fresh ingredients, like fruits and vegetables, fresh fish and lean meat if you are not vegetarian. Here’s what to steer clear of:

  • Fast food, such as burgers, fries, hot dogs, pizza, Chinese takeaway etc as these foods are often deep fried in vegetable oil or made with high saturated fat ingredients, loads of salt, sugar, monosodium glutamate (MSG) especially in the case of Chinese takeaway although it’s in other stuff too. They are all high calorie, high GI carbohydrates and high on the list of unhealthy weight gain foods.
  • Cakes and pastries, biscuits, cookies and similar because they are loaded with sugar, high GI carbohydrates and they are high in calories.
  • Any foods that are fried in fats or vegetable oil, as these are just bad for your arteries, and bad for your heart.
  • Snacks such as potato chips, tortilla chips, corn chips, pretzels, salted peanuts, Bombay mix etc as these are high in salt, which is bad for blood pressure and also high in saturated fats from the vegetable oils they are fried in and high in calories.
  • Soda. Even diet soda is not good because it contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, which apart from being linked with cancer, has a property where it stimulates appetite, meaning if you drink it you might not be getting the calories, but you’ll feel more hungry and crave high calorie snacks to go with.
  • Alcohol. In itself, not particularly fattening, but it stimulates appetite and lowers your resolve. A packet or three of potato chips is just a few drinks away…

You can do it when you know what your enemy is and those foods are your enemy.

Powerful Exercise Tips

Exercise is absolutely the best way to go in order to not only reduce your fat levels but to improve your body’s overall look and fitness level. It is through exercise that you will burn more calories and halt the weight gain process eventually turning it around into a weight loss process.

As your muscles gain strength from regular exercise, they will burn more energy to do the work they need to do. That means they will force your body to release its store of fat to feed them.

This is essentially increasing metabolism through increased activity levels. Exercise should be aerobic in nature and should be maintained for in excess of 30 minutes in one go to maximize this process.

Anything less than 20 minutes is not enough because in that time, the muscles will only take energy from the glucose dissolved in your bloodstream and the body will not be forced to make more from its fat store.

That’s why people who exercise like mad for ten or fifteen minutes then go off and rest for a while before continuing do not lose fat as fast as those that keep up a steady pace for longer than 30 minutes. A leisurely run for half an hour does you much more good than a mad sprint at full tilt for 5 minutes, even though that might make you feel more worn out.

Motivation Tips

I’ve included motivation as one of the tips to success because when combined with the previous two major aspects, it is the icing on the cake, so to speak. Motivation comes from the mind and the mind needs to be in the right state for any slimming process to work at its best.

When you are in a positive, determined and motivated state of mind, you are able to exercise harder for longer. You are able to resist the temptation to reach out and take that tempting slice of chocolate cake and you are able to keep yourself active and busy rather than giving in and slumping down in front of the TV.

When you are motivated, you are positive and of the belief that you can do what you set out to do, which in this case is to lose weight. When you are motivated, the process seems easy, much easier than it seems when you are in the opposite stat of mind, or de-motivated.

So a motivated state of mind, combined with a good, healthy diet and a sensible exercise program are the three main ingredients to achieving weight loss easily and with the minimum of stress, which is, after all, the way you want it to be.

There is a lot more to making this an easy process and being in possession of plenty of information on the subject certainly helps. The more knowledge and understanding you can accrue on the subject, the easier it becomes to put that knowledge into action by applying what you know and using it to your advantage.

A solid strategy is all too often forgotten by people who tend to be in too much of a rush to get the job done properly because they want to cut corners. By learning how to diet sensibly and exercise safely and methodically, you can find yourself completely on-target about what you want to achieve.

If you want more info on a similar vein as to finding more easy ways to shift some of those excess pounds, try this article: How to Simplify the Weight Loss Process. I am a firm believer in getting this to work as simply as possible.

Maybe your motivation comes and goes. It’s a real challenge to find my favorite tips work time and time again. You can work with nature to lose weight naturally. When you believe you can do it, you can do it. Simple!

Here is How You Can Lose Weight Steadily for Real

When you strive to lose weight steadily, you stand much more of a chance of keeping the weight off once you have achieved your target weight. This post will take a look at some of the slow and steady ways of losing weight naturally and safely as these are the real weight loss methods that work in the long term.

To start, you need to get yourself fit. So move yourself around and flex those muscles a little or a lot whenever you get the chance. Doing this is all about having a lot of fun at being serious as well as making it an enjoyable pursuit as I have already mentioned in prior articles.

Do you want the best advice I can give you on it? Here it is: Never give up!

To be rid of that excess fat you’re carrying around with you once and for all, you need to always focus on the end result. You need to see yourself as the slim and healthy person you can be and see it in your mind’s eye first.

Then it’s simply a process that happens over time when what you first envisioned in your mind becomes the image that you see in the mirror staring back at you.

Make Your Diet Work for You

The things that you eat and drink throughout the day can have an enormous effect on the way you look and how much fat your body is carrying. I have already mentioned cutting out all foods that have added sugars and that includes drinks such as super size soda.

Now I know that lots of people enjoy a cold, fizzy soda drink from time to time, which is fine as long as you limit that treat to maybe once a week (or less). If you must drink something cold, do yourself a big, big favor and take a large jug, fill it with water and add some freshly squeezed lemon juice, then store in in the fridge.

It’s refreshing, tastes nice, has zero calories and above all else will work with your diet and not against it!

Drinking green tea is one very good addition that can help you to maximize your diet. It’s always good to drink plenty of this beverage each day because it contains several constituents that aid the process of fat metabolism.

Avoiding Temptation

What are you going to do when some food is just too much to resist? This is going to happen often and most of the time you’re going to have to be strong and say not. But every once in a while?

Sure, simply allow yourself to give in to the temptation and have yourself a well-deserved treat every now and again and don’t sweat over it. That’s assuming it is well deserved!

Slimming is much easier when you are totally positive about it. I’m the first to admit that the concept of easy weight loss is mostly pie in the sky (and you should not reach for that pie, either!), because the reality is you do need to put in some work to help yourself.

While there’s nothing as awesomely inspiring as seeing the pounds dropping off week by week, the true feeling of elation back of it comes from knowing it was you that worked for that result and nobody else. This is one of the easiest ways of boosting your morale because seeing the results clearly in front of you is motivation personified!

Get Regular and Consistent

As for making this process a consistent and steady one, again it’s all down to you and the way in which you work the strategy you devised and are sticking to. You should help things along by visualizing yourself as the slim and fit person you want to be and make that an achievable goal for losing weight.

Remember, whether you believe you can or you believe you cannot, you are right either way. So make up your mind that you are going to believe you can do it, know you are doing it and work toward the result of having done it.

Then keep doing it because being at your correct weight and size is one thing but remaining so is a complete other thing. The last thing you want happen is to lose it all only to end up gaining it all back again at some later date.

That’s why you really have to make up your mind you are going to make your slimming strategy become your way of life from here on out.

Keep Doing What You’re Doing

When looking to the long term and staying in that slimmer, fitter and healthier body you have just worked so hard to achieve, you must, absolutely must keep to the diet and exercise strategy for the rest of your life. Because it’s the rest of your life we’re talking about here and you want to ensure it’s a long and happy one!

Keep up with the sensible eating habits you have worked so hard to cultivate. Keep avoiding those sweet temptations and stick to eating the smaller portions you have come accustomed to at each mealtime. If you can stay on the path you have carved out for yourself, you can keep the body you have created for yourself and live longer to enjoy it in good health and with more vitality and energy than you had before.

As long as you stay focused on your goal, you’ll attain it. Then once you have gotten there, stay there by focusing on yourself and how happy you are now that you have a body you are proud of.

This is absolutely the best information I think I can impart to anyone who really and truly wants to lose weight steadily and safely and then keep it gone for a long and happy lifetime.
