Nutrisystem Reviews 2012

People could read this and see that we are honestly reviewing Nutrisystem here. Let’s see if they’re all they are supposed to be and all they’re cracked up to be. This is in opposition to all the glorified sales pitches designed to make you buy into the system blindly that are disguised as reviews. Instead we go about guiding you honestly with facts so you can make your own mind up as to whether you want to try it for yourself or not.

So lets do some research on its good and bad points to offer a fair view on how Nutrisystem really performs and whether it can really help you to lose weight or not.

Nutrisystem Meals

The first one of these details you need to grasp about Nutrisystem is that the whole system revolves around providing the buyer with pre-prepared meals that are eaten instead the meals you’d usually eat. A good point is that Nutrisystem’s set meals are perfectly balanced and contain all the nutrients which your body wants to retain first-class health in addition to being minimal in calories to help you to lose weight. They are smaller than what you’re probably used to, but the idea here is to lose weight and you are not going to do that if you keep eating large meals!

Adding Extra Vegetables

One point that most people don’t realize is that if you want to bulk out the main meals a little to make them more filling, especially if the idea of the small meals is tough on you to begin with, you can prepare and cook some fresh green vegetables to accompany the Nutrisystem meals. This is not just to bulk them out, but also to make them more interesting, otherwise its possible you may end up feeling hungry after consuming one of their ready meals. This is actually one of the recommendations from the company as a way around this.

Yes its a drawback if you are pretty lazy and don’t want to bother with that extra bit of work in the kitchen. You’ll find plenty of folks will complain when they’re hungry well before its time for the next meal. Worse is that might cause them to snack on garbage food like biscuits or potato chips, which utterly negate the reason for eating the diet in the first place. Oh yeah, and if you do that you won’t lose any weight, then complain the system doesn’t work!

Therefore its a good idea to add a little extra and include green vegetables to the base meals. They’re very low calorie and fill you up while being healthy! You have to remember that you’re aiming to drop some weight in the end, and this is a diet, right?

Gas!

The healthy food that is contained in Nutrisystem’s complete meals also contains some additional fiber. Now this might result in producing some flatulence (gas) in some individuals, particularly those dieters who have been used to a truly dreadful diet of processed and junk food. Their bodies need to get used to digesting healthy food and… well, this can create gas. You simply have to live with it and after all, come on its really no big deal!

Okay, there are plenty of encouraging advantages there to see along with the disadvantages. Most so called reviews would probably only harp on about the advantages, don’t forget. This tells it like it is, warts and all!

So, here’s an advantage, especially for the culinary challenged, or those who don’t like to spend too much time in the kitchen! The Nutrisystem meals are simple to get ready, you just get them out of their packaging (or the freezer in the case of fresh frozen meals) and pop them into the microwave. While you‘re doing that, slice off a few broccoli florets and steam them, or try some kale or cabbage cooked with a little grated black pepper! Its pretty effortless and tasty too!

Nutrisystem Cost

Ok, the big downside to any diet system like this is the cash side of things. The Nutrisystem cost can be a little steep when you have to pay it all out in one go. But remember that you’re paying for a whole month’s meals here. So you have to look at the price you pay and then deduct what you’d normally spend on a month’s meals for yourself. Then what’s left is the real Nutrisystem cost. You might be pleasantly surprised to find that the balance isn’t as great as you thought it would be and that’s the true cost of this diet food delivery plan, not the initial price you see advertised on their website.

Does it make you want to think for yourself about this? We hope so, because when you come to a decision that you decide and not some salesman, then you have the satisfaction of knowing that you made it, not someone made it for you.

How Nutrisystem Has Evolved Going Into 2012

With 2011 coming to a close, it is with expectancy that we look towards 2012 and how the diet industry will move forward to meet the new challenges that confront it. Nutrisystem has been a front runner in the diet food delivery side of the industry for many years, but seemed to have lost ground this year as rivals Jenny Craig stepped up their promotional machine. So how will Nutrisystem fare, going into 2012 and what have they got lined up for dieters keep to lose weight before the summer vacation season comes along?

The first thing you will have noticed, unless you have been well away from any TV, radio or magazines and newspapers for the last two weeks is that there is a new big name celebrity spokesperson in the enviable shape of Janet Jackson to lead the promotional push into the new year. This will certainly raise awareness of the Nutrisystem diet plans and put the company right back into the driving seat for the coming weight loss season as it hits.

On the side if the diets themselves, there have been big improvements to the menus with chef inspired meals and celebrity chefs joining the team to help improve the quality of the meals. Another big improvement to the several regular plans is the inclusion of thirty percent fresh frozen meals. This brings the overall quality score of the diet up and provides dieters with more choice and a better selection of meals. It also means they will have to make space in their freezers to store the frozen meals, but the good news is that those meals really do not take up very much space.

Other than these main improvements, there is a new special offer of 20% off the cost of the plans and other promotional goodies that make signing up for the plan a very economical and easy way to lose weight. If you want convenience and simplicity of use in a diet that you do not have to prepare and cook yourself, then Nutrisystem for 2012 is probably the most cost effective and best supported of them all. So give it a try, you and your waistline will be happy you did!

eDiets Review

There are several prominent diet companies providing high quality diet meals that are delivered to the customer’s home so they have an easy time of losing weight. One such company is eDiets who have built their success on providing a good variety of top quality meals that actually taste great. This article takes a look at this diet meal service and see how it measures up to other rival programs.

The first thing that you notice about the way that eDiets meal delivery service works is that the meals are sent out in packages meant to cover a single week and not, as in Nutrisystem’s case, a whole month. This is necessary because the meals are all freshly prepared upon receipt of the customer’s order, cooked and chilled, then packaged in cool bags for shipping to the customer’s home. Shipping meals that are not frozen or processed means they have to be kept cold but will not last much beyond a week. They have to be stored in a fridge (not a freezer), although that’s not really a problem because seven days worth of meals doesn’t really take up very much space.

For the customer, this means they are getting top quality meals that are freshly prepared as they order and pay for them. The service does cost more than Nutrisystem for this reason. You really do get what you pay for when it comes to convenience diet meals of the diet food delivery variety. Costs vary depending upon the plan chosen, but even with the top plan you will still be paying a lot less than $200 for a week’s food. This is not too expensive considering you get all your meals for the whole seven days, which are breakfast, lunch and an evening meal with a dessert plus the two snack bars for between meals. Prices are on par with another rival diet meal delivery company, Bistro MD, which also sends seven days of food, but their meals are fresh frozen.

Dieting with eDiets is a good weight loss solution for a person who does not have the time to spend on a conventional diet. In a similar way to Nutrisystem, all meals are simple to get ready to easy and usually only need a quick flash in the microwave. It is a time saving way to easily lose weight and be able to use that time you save for more important things, which, in an ideal world, is how it should be!
